The town offices are located at 66 East Main Street in Mohawk and includes the villages of Ilion and Mohawk in the southern part of Herkimer County which lies on the southern banks of the Mohawk river.  The town first established in 1788 covers 34.2 square miles and has a population of 13,258.(2010 census)
